• Neuroethology: How do neuronal circuits drive adaptive behavior?

• Behavioral Physiology: How can behavior be used to disclose the processing and computations that underly an animal's ability? 

• Using specialized animals to examine basic physiological questions (for example, tolerance to    strong electric currents) or for applications in biomonitoring.
